Pnero 2012
Who would have thought Pinot Nero in the heart of Umbria. We inherited this small north facing vineyard of Pinot Nero which was tucked away in the coolest section of the vineyard close to the bordering woodland.
Our initial thoughts were this is not Piedmont, so how can our Pinot be successful in the heat of Umbria. However, Fabrizio our winemaker, ever the maestro, saw something special here and 2012 harvest bears testimony to this.
