The Vineyards
Cantina Goccia cultivates two vineyards — Petrignano and Bella Vista — nestled in the heart of Umbria’s Colli del Trasimeno.
It is a region rich in biodiversity with a mild climate and mineral-rich soils shaped by their proximity to Lake Trasimeno.
Set among gently rolling hills, our vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate. We practice organic farming and follow a regenerative approach to viticulture. This means we minimize soil disturbance, avoiding unnecessary ploughing and instead planting a five-seed legume mix between the vines to naturally enrich and bind the soil, promoting vine health and biodiversity.
The plots total approximately 10 hectares and include native and international varieties such as Sangiovese, Grechetto, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Vermentino. Each variety is carefully selected and cultivated to express the full character of our Umbrian terroir.
As a certified organic winery, we are committed to sustainable vineyard management, limiting the use of external inputs and allowing nature to lead the way in both pest control and nutrient cycles.
